There's no translation for Portuguese.

Proposed fixes and/or additions

I'm a native Portuguese speaker, so I could add support for this language. What do you guys think?

I am also a native Portuguese speaker...

Somebody else was recently offering to advance the Portuguese translation: @pribeiro42

Are you from Portugal or Brazil, or somewhere else? I was thinking of doing this in Portuguese from Portugal, WITHOUT the "Acordo Ortográfico" which I strongly dislike.

What would your preferences be?

@pgorod, @MatheusRich is it possible to create "pt_PT" and "pt_BR" ?

From my experience with other projects (mainly Debian), portuguese and brazillian technical terms are quite different....

I don't think it's a good idea FOR US to have two different versions. I agree that people deserve both, but due to our limited resources for maintenance, and the problems we have with our build times (due to the Ruby asciidoctor which is slooooow) I really don't want to have both in our project. Maybe one day...

Of course we'll have to find some compromise - I guess in the end what is going to be decisive is how much content each country's community is willing to contribute...

@pgorod I'm from Brazil, tho. I know both pt_PT and pt_BR are different, but not SO difference. I could help, and a native pt_PT could improve anything he/she finds useful.
