install softwares

  1. vscode
  2. anaconda comes with spyder, jupyter notebook
  3. R and R studio

settings

  1. create and config bash_profile file with aliases and function
  2. ssh key generate. send public keys to hpc to add to their authorized keys
  3. create .ssh/config file to connect automatic to hpcs
  4. change location where screenshots are saved. save in documents under screenshots
  5. install git and pair github with ssh keys
