CoCalc will have scheduled downtime on July 21st, 2018, at 14:00 UTC (7:00 AM PST) for 2+ hours.

Background

Last summer CoCalc migrated its infrastructure for scalability and security. This summer, we will upgrade several important aspects, which will require some downtime.

The round of upgrades includes:

• Kubernetes 1.11
• Postgres 10 Database, which also involves maintenance of some large tables.
• Push all back-end services to run on Ubuntu 18.04.

These upgrades will make CoCalc more robust, performant, and secure.
