Describe the bug
After installing katoolin3 and updating and installing packages, installing Kali menu does not display categorized icons in the application menu. No error was displayed. Rebooted, and also checked gnome tweaks for any disabled add-on features. Current image is Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

Try to install classicmenu-indicator. It worked afterwards.

It didn't work for me. The menu appears on the taskbar, but doesn't display any of the installed programs. It's not a big deal, but it would've been nice. I tried rebooting, but no cigar.
