The Colab versions of EXOTIC requires a second git repository besides EXOTIC itself #1272

The Colab version of EXOTIC requires the following repository git+https://github.com/alienlifeform/exotic-colab.git, in particular exoticcolab/display.py

The display functions from that repository could be merged into EXOTIC, avoiding the need for an additional repository while using Colab EXOTIC notebooks.

This is a consideration, and perhaps we want to do this or will make the change in the future. However, there are OSS, ownership and packaging considerations that we have to get clarified. I will keep try to update this when there are answers.
