Configure Scaleway Glacier Backup

Hi, I am trying to configure a backup to Scaleway glacier but encountering this error
error: backend openDAL Backend cannot be loaded: Unsupported (permanent) at , context: { scheme: s3:https://s3.fr-par.scw.cloud/coldbucket} => scheme is not enabled or supported

Here my configuration file

There the command i used for init

 rustic -r opendal:s3:https://s3.fr-par.scw.cloud/coldbucket --repo-hot opendal:s3:https://s3.fr-par.scw.cloud/hotbucket init 

I can't remember all the things I tried, but every time I had this error or that one

I've seen this issue but it doesn't seem to be the same problem.

Looks like nobody was interested yet to work on it...

Scaleway Glacier is listed in "This section is used to track services that no developers interested in. Please feel free to take one of them." section.

Given that it is S3 it might be actually quite simple opendal PR - if you need it you have to look into it.

There is no native support for scaleway. But if they offer a S3-compatible API, s3 works through opendal.

@Modrizen The syntax you are using in the config profile seems correct for me, however the -r opendal:s3:https://s3.fr-par.scw.cloud/coldbucket --repo-hot opendal:s3:https://s3.fr-par.scw.cloud/hotbucket is overwriting the config and not working. It must be opendal:s3 and all other options like the bucket path has to be specified in the options separately.

Best actually is to just use the config and not specify the repostory or repo-hot at all as CLI options.

Brilliant ! That is the answer.
So I just added the entrypoint in the config file like this endpoint = "https://s3.fr-par.scw.cloud" and used the command rustic init.
Everything worked fine and I was even able to make a backup.
The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the storage class. Files are stored in the standard class, even in the coldbucket. But I'll be able to create a lifetime rule in the Scaleway dashboard to convert it.

@Modrizen I remember they had some topics about the storage class in the opendal project. If you search over there, maybe you'll find a way to set the storage class. But yes, sometimes things like lifetime rules or setting default storage classes for buckets also works. Depends on the S3 storage provider...

I've actually made a mistake in the configuration file for setting the storage class, underscore must be used.
This parameter default_storage_class = "GLACIER" works perfectly.
