Multiple packets icmp/tcp sent on the same host

It would be nice if we could send like 5 packets at the same time and get the result for all packets (like for 'syn'). It will increase the performance time of the script (we avoid to send a packet, wait X sec for the result, send a new packet, wait Y sec for the result,...)
