I would like to be able to re-upload/replace my data. Currently can't see a way to do that.

You can replace your data by scripting but not via upload ...

What's wrong with just creating a new project? (You can always copy the script across ...)

What if I've already shared the URL to the data I want to replace or re-upload? I'd prefer to create a project with a URL that I stick with so people know that what they see there is something up-to-date. This is my preferred way of working with sound files (Soundcloud allows you to re-upload new mixes etc), could be other considerations for data.

There is a way to do this is you are a power user ;-)

Each Data Explorer project is actually backed on to a "gist" - a mini git repo. You can see the gist if click on the gist link at the top right of your project. You can then either:

  • directly edit the relevant CSV file there (copy and paste in the raw CSV from your computer)
  • or, clone the gist down using git, replace the relevant file (current.csv) and then push your changes back up
