Performance w/ and w/o Rails (not trolling)

Hi friends,

Don't want to start a flame war, but I was curious to see if there are some recent performance tests for:

• Grape on Rails vs. Rails
• Grape vs. Rails

If there isn't, I'd be happy to figure out how to run one and see how it would work.

I haven't seen such comparisons. I think a default setup comparison between Rails 5 API mode and Grape on different web servers (Unicorn, Puma, etc.) could be useful. Note things like #1276 that are replacing big parts of Grape too that have some benchmarks to get you started.
