MS is starting on the ORTC implementation in Edge as of preview release today. Are there any plans to use a plugin/shim to get RTC.io compatible API access for Edge.

I'm definitely interested in taking a look Warren. It's possible it will be done under my own personal github account to:

A. try and make the process of writing plugins for rtc.io less scary.
B. Give the Coviu team time to decide whether they are keen to support an Edge plugin in the longer term.

I do have a surface that has been upgrade to Windows 10 with Edge installed and pretty interested in taking it for a run :)

Absolutely do need to support edge in rtc.io! This is the rtc.io community - what Coviu wants is not really relevant, so I'd encourage it to live here.

ORTC has now "officially" landed in Edge insider previews.

Oh cool. @silviapfeiffer do you think one of the team has some bandwidth to investigate this? With the time that I have these days I'm going to be focusing my efforts on creating a travis-multirunner capable system that interacts with saucelabs for testing but is driven with a travis testing matrix.

Will discuss and get back to you, but it's absolutely necessary! Should be able to learn from adapter.js

Might also want to look at https://github.com/twilio/ortc-adapter which is already NPM deployable.

There's a fair bit of code in https://github.com/twilio/ortc-adapter/tree/master/lib that we'd need to add also, FAICT. Thinking @nathanoehlman might find this interesting.
