Hi all,

I'm unable to download any data from TradingView using the method get.hist().
I get the error
ERROR:tvDatafeed.main:Connection timed out ERROR:tvDatafeed.main:no data, please check the exchange and symbol

Are you guys facing the same problem? I've tried other symbols and exchanges but it seems a problem with tradingView

I think it has to do with no-login access. I had the same problem with CRUDEOIL, but after providing login data, it worked.

It's working fine for me with no login. However the search function hasn't worked for a while.

To search what you need to do is go on the Tradingview website and open up a chart, then search for the symbol you want to download, then press the down arrow to highlight it. It will then write the exchange info in the search bar for you. E.g. search for SPY, down arrow, it now says AMEX:SPY. AMEX is the exchange. Make sure to put the correct exchange in and it now works.
