some time ago i talked with you about image overlay,
here is some code from contributor of Userland

so returning to my question: is it possible to implement Image overlay?

Currently implementing overlay directly in raspimjpeg would be low priority for me. It would be quite a lot of work. It is not as simple as integrating in the example given due to the nature of the current processing pipeline. I also think a web user interface overlay is best handled by web techniques which are more flexible and much easier to integrate in.

If somebody wants to implement and test in a fork, and submit a pull request then I'll see if that can be folded into main build.
