run:

java -jar launcher/ZenithProxy.jar

and show the console output

try deleting the .jar so it gets downloaded again on next launch

rm launcher/ZenithProxy.jar

try installing temurin java 21+

i recommend using sdkman: https://sdkman.io/install/

sdk install java 21-tem

or if you uninstall java from your package manager or distro, the zenith launcher will prompt to autoinstall it for you

The thing is, I want to run zenith using the linux terminal. On one phone I can do it, but on the other phone it says it's not working when installing java

yes well that changes things.

  1. running zenith on a phone is not supported
  2. none of your problems are caused by issues in my software
  3. your problems are caused by issues in the custom builds of python and java you need to use. many software packages need special builds for the phone hardware and software env. this is why termux maintains their own package manager of custom builds.
