Seeming conflict with Logitech mouse buttons

Describe the bug
I have a Logitech M720 that has been set up with Logi Options+ such that the thumb button controls switching between desktops:

kino.sh appears to be intercepting those mouse commands to instead:

• tab(?) on what would otherwise bring up the task view
• expand the current window to the left/right of the screen instead of switching desktops

Expected behavior
Use of the thumb button + swiping the mouse left/right/up/down would work as specified within Logi Options.
