Read in LSM and FITS image, select sources by tag (optionally), and blank pixels within a radius R of each LSM source. As discussed in ratt-ru/owlcat#64.

This is already implemented in catdagger:
https://github.com/bennahugo/catdagger

--remove-tagged-dE-components-from-model-images
Blank out model images within resolution of tagged LSM components. Expects list of model FITS files. This option is useful for hybrid DFT-CLEAN component modelling as onlyextended / faint clean components contributes to model.

Not that lsm based de calibration works, so why continue down this particular road?

Sweet sweet music to my ears!

There are many rhodes, even if they all may lead to Rome (or rum?)

@IanHeywood, can you explain your needs here?

Sure, it's DD-calibration with hybrid LSM + MODEL_DATA sky models. I've also already implemented it for myself, masking out wsclean model images at component positions and re-predicting, but if you implement these features in software I'm already using then it saves me having to cart my own shoddy scripts around with me.

I don't think "LSM-based dE calibration doesn't work" is a fair statement, as it has worked beautifully for me on VLA and MeerKAT-16 data.

EDIT: typo
