Application does not respond on Wayland

Building Rio with Wayland on Fedora 39 both as release or debug build and running it, results in the terminal window showing up, but it doesn't respond to input.

After a few seconds, GNOME tells me that the application is not responding. Waiting does not change this.

I tried both master and 0.0.x. It does work when building with X11 and going through xwayland.
