Not sure if this is interesting or didactic enough, but http://journals.heacademy.ac.uk/doi/abs/10.11120/msor.2007.07020020 includes this example of permutations of the same data, the point being that visualizing outcomes versus index is important.

One way to make this interesting in a class or otherwise might be to go back to the famous "sort the data" stack exchange question
