since 3.13 there is a configuration option to disable automatic live reload quarkus.live-reload.enabled. We want to configure livereload just by setting the environment variable QUARKUS_LIVE_RELOAD_ENABLED for all our applications.
However, i am are running into some confusing behaviour.
If application.properties contains the property quarkus.live-reload.enabled,
then the value can be overridden with the environment variable QUARKUS_LIVE_RELOAD_ENABLED=false.
If application.properties does not contain the property quarkus.live-reload.enabled,
then the environment variable does not have any effect.
So as a workaround we could add quarkus.live-reload.enabled=true to all our application.properties and then configure live reload with the environment variable, but it feels odd.

Hello,
since 3.13 there is a configuration option to disable automatic live reload
quarkus.live-reload.enabled
. We want to configure livereload just by setting the environment variableQUARKUS_LIVE_RELOAD_ENABLED
for all our applications. However, i am are running into some confusing behaviour.
If
application.properties
contains the propertyquarkus.live-reload.enabled
,then the value can be overridden with the environment variable
QUARKUS_LIVE_RELOAD_ENABLED=false
.If
application.properties
does not contain the propertyquarkus.live-reload.enabled
,then the environment variable does not have any effect.
I reproduced it with basic gradle application generated by https://code.quarkus.io/.
So as a workaround we could add
quarkus.live-reload.enabled=true
to all ourapplication.properties
and then configure live reload with the environment variable, but it feels odd.Is this expected behaviour? Thanks for helping
