Describe the issue

The uYouPlus's notification badge doesn’t update when a notification arrives. As an example: if I get 2 push notifications, the badge should display a red "2" without me having to open uYouPlus first. This bug also affects other builds.. (If I open uYouPlus or bring it the the foreground, the badge updates)

Steps to reproduce

1. receive a push notification
2. observe the uYouPlus badge not updating

Does the issue happen with the official YouTube app from the App Store?

❌ No, I cannot reproduce this issue in the official YouTube app from the App Store

Additional information

The uYouPlus version I was using before that, uYouPlus_18.07.5_2.3.1, worked flawlessly and was is not affected by this. But ever since last week, that build displays the "Update Required"-dialog. Which why I was forced to use a newer version of uYouPlus.

My configuration is as follows: I have the original YouTube app installed to actually get push notifications, and uYouPlus installed the use said app without ads. But unlike the original app, uYouPlus's Notification badge doesn’t change/update in the background (background refresh is enabled).

I’m not "getting push notifications" directly from uYouPlus, as I don’t have a paid apple developer account. However I’m receiving them from the official YouTube app. I simply do not click on the push notification, as that would take me to the official YouTube app instead of uYouPlus. But because uYouPlus has notifications & the notification badge, I know the amount and what videos have since been published by accounts I have enabled "the bell" for.
