What are you missing?

The users are currently only able to define one species for their samples within a dropdown menu:

While this works for most cases, this does not include cases where multiple species are involved considering the origin of the sample. (E.G. Bacteria within the gut of a human patient, Viruses within their hosts etc.).
For these cases, the selection and validation of multiple species per samples during sample registration would be helpful

Why do you need a solution?

Currently the only way to specify this information is to manually provide one of the organisms in the comment field which can be confusing and is error prone since there is no species validation for the input information there.

Ideas

Enable the user to either provide or select multiple values within the species cell, which are seperated by a defined seperator and will be validated against
