A java GUI side question, my file open/select dialogs on Linux are ugly, can you make them nicer?

On Processing, the Java mode dialogs were nicer than the Python mode dialogs, and py5 unfortunatly serves me the ugly ones too jdf/Processing.py-Bugs#303

How much is the tariff on a new Mac mini in Brazil? Have you ever run any pyobjc on your current system? I think it uses Aqua controls like Apple uses. Please try to run this code and if successful post a screenshot of the output so I can see what the window looks like.

No chance of Cocoa. My last Mac was from 2011 I think. Macs are so expensive in Brazil... The cheapest Mac Mini M2 is about USD 1418... I won't be able to test on Windows today anymore, maybe tomorrow...

1418, that's outrageous. About 3 times what they cost in U.S. I don't know if PopOS for your Linux box would help or not, maybe some (I think it's Ubuntu based but controlled by some older programmers in Denver).

It could be the specific version of Java I am using:

Based on what I've seen you do in other discussion threads, I suspect you are using something added to the Java API after Java 17.
