I think the problem is in wrong configured D2GS. You should check the configs files and make sure that all D2GS files belong to the same version (if you didn't use Magic Builder or try use any D2 mod).

Also make sure you selected default 1.13c but not multithreaded. Otherwise it will need additional manipulations to make it work #17
