What maintenance needs to be done?

Create an alert to notify us when a larger than typical number of writes are being performed on our solr index

Level of urgency

High
Moderate
Low

Why is this maintenance needed?

We want a way to know when the solr index is being overloaded with write requests.

Acceptance criteria

We receive an alert when the write volume exceeds what we see during an index
The alert has information on how to respond

Implementation notes, if any

We anticipate this alert triggering in cases where multiple applications are rebuilding their indexes at the same time.
