- Unite industry and federal innovators to improve government for all Americans — today and tomorrow. + Embed industry’s top technologists and innovators within federal agencies to improve the way our government builds, designs, and delivers services.
Hand-in-hand with federal agency leaders, we identify innovation opportunities of critical agency and/or national priority. As we do so, our team recruits outstanding private-sector technologists. And then, we unite. PIF embeds the nation's top engineers, designers, and strategists within agencies as yearlong entrepreneurs in residence. With our agency partners, our fellows advise, prototype, and scale solutions using industry best practices across data science, design, engineering, product, and systems thinking.

We create products and services with people, not for them.
-We are lifelong learners who bring empathy and humility to complex challenges.
-We don’t build tech for tech’s sake. We co-create solutions to enrich the skills, jobs, and lives of everyone in our country.
-We do what is right for the people even, and especially, when it is hard.
+Selfless service of partners and the public to achieve equitable outcomes, while bringing others along the journey with integrity, empathy, and humility.
We recognize and celebrate what makes each of us uniquely brilliant. We foster a culture of belonging where everyone can do their best work.
+Create an environment that prioritizes the user’s needs to iterate toward new solutions; create government products and processes that are intuitive, streamlined, and effective.
We make our agency partners, alumni, and collaborators successful. We center community in all we do.
+Nothing happens in government alone; as individuals, we often own specific outcomes, but we have shared ownership of our mission. Cultivate empathy; invest in each other; facilitate serendipity.
Do you want to build cutting-edge solutions that serve your mission and the public? Together, we can. We’d love to hear from you.

+No, you do not need clearance to apply. If you are selected for a position, a GSA staff member will provide you instructions on how to begin the necessary clearance process once you accept the tentative job offer.
All government positions require some level of background check. Most roles at PIF require a public trust position clearance, which is more thorough than most private-sector background checks but not as intensive as a higher government security clearance. The clearance process adds some time and forms to the hiring process, but the GSA Human Resources team will guide you through it. GSA is the federal agency under which PIF operates.
