Gui still displays species field after they have been removed #11

If the user inputs a value in a species field, then removes that field, the GUI sometimes still displays that field. However, the user cannot click on the field. Switching tabs will remove the field from view. Exporting does not export the value in the removed field.

Noticed that this bug only seems to occur on macOS, not Windows.
