osu!lazer not showing my tablet curser while in-game

on the newest 2025.118.3 update osu!lazer doesn't let me see my curser with my tablet unless i have "tablet" turned on in settings.

I have no idea why, and don't know if its the update that forces you to turn on tablet or else it won't work, but i really do hate this because i can't use my tablet on lazer anymore if i cant see my curser unless I'm clicking

please tell me if anyone else has had this problem and been able to fix it

Is there a particular reason why you don't want to use this option? The tablet option should be the most customisable and has less issues (as you pointed out).

It interferes with external tablet drivers. Lazer's tablet drivers are very good, but lack the implementation of filters. Anyone playing around 240hz or higher on their monitor will need an interpolation filter at minimum since most popular tablets poll around 133hz. Many players also use antichatter and/or smoothing filters as well.
