An idea was thrown around at the 5/21 PUR that we should build a VM to get new users up and running on the software side of things.

This was the article I originally looked at for a NodeBots Vagrant box, but since then they've added more serial-forwarding support to Vagrant. http://yagamy.logdown.com/posts/138888-serialport-programming-on-platform-virtual-machines
