Upon examining a particular site's sitemap.xml file, I noticed none of the default pages were included. The code (sitemap.py) indeed appears to include only non-default pages.

In the site control panel under Search, only Page, Event, and News Item are selected. Selecting Folder solves the problem, but it seems the code shouldn't depend on this setting, or it should be documented.
