How do I use this to set backlight colors?

I've been trying to figure out how to use this. It doesn't seem to work as well as the official software but the official software barely works either. I wish I could program the keyboard to just always have backlighted keys of a solid color and then never change it again. "map Sample.txt" for example does absolutely nothing. Is says "done" and that's all that happens. This i also what happens when I try something like "map blue.le". It says "done" and nothing happens, no lights turn on, the keyboard doesn't do anything different if I unplug it and plug it back in, there's no errors.
