Hello!
I'm using Tree Style Tabs v4.1.1 on Firefox v134.0 (on MacOS, but not sure if that part is relevant). Recently, my tab sidebar got an extra gap on it, like this:

Here's what my (fairly minimal) TST CSS looks like:

What would be the best way to fix this?

I tried your TST CSS and userChrome.css on Windows and don't see anything like this. (Although the titlebar hiding and pixel shifting would obviously need tweaks)

Can you create a new profile (for testing), apply your updates, and see if you still have the issue?

I couldn't reproduce this problem on TST 4.1.1 + Firefox 134 + macOS with the uploaded TST config and userChrome.css. Could you inspect what produces the gap, with the browser toolbox?

Well, I was planning on doing that when I got home... except the issue is gone now. I'm not sure why but the gap is gone, and I can't reproduce it myself now. When I checked in the browser toolbox previously, the <browser id="webext-panels-browser" element the TST sidebar was within included that gap, and the <html element below it did not, however both had no margin and padding.

It looks a userChrome.css issue if you found the origin of the gap from the <browser> element, its siblings, or other elements in the DOM tree of the browser window. On the other hand, it is a TST (itself or CSS customization) issue if you found the gap inside the subtree of the <browser> element. Your case looked to be userChrome.css issue.

Firefox has a XUL cache and saves/srestores some attributes from the file xulstore.json in your profile. Cleaning them may solve various unexpected behavior problems, ex. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1936212

I.. at least found a way to reliably trigger/fix it? And I'm even more confused now. Connecting my tablet as a sidecar display seems to fix it, disconnecting it seems to break it.
