I need my wildcard domains first for the reverse proxy Traefik and nginx.
The current version is to slow, because it is on one of the last lines.

Thanks for the work.

I'm running into the same issue. Glad I'm not the only one

Found this in another issue and this resolved it for me

I do not want to change from the dnsmasq way to do this.
In version < v6 the conf-dir=/etc/dnsmasq.d was on top of the /etc/dnsmasq.conf
If it is not on top the dnsmaq.conf it is working not fine, so to slow.
So i work with image: pihole/pihole:2024.07.0 in docker untill i see it work in the next version.

Enable the new option misc.etc_dnsmasq_d:

Image

This will add conf-dir=/etc/dnsmasq.d to the file.

So what you are saying is that you have custom configurations which conflict with default settings and because they are loaded at the end of our config file the issue occurs. If your config would be loaded first, everything works fine?
