Export from Obsidian/PDF to a supernote .note file

Hello,

I am trying to work out a flow where I would like access to my obsidian notes on the supernote, using the supernote file-manager and applications. (using a side loaded obsidian app does not allow for a nice joined up flow and exporting to pdf and manually use the pdf as a .note template does not work for me either)

I think to enable the most useful solution I would like to be able to take an existing .md file or multiple files (directory) and export them to a supernote .note. Allowing me to read and annotate these files on the supernote. (.md content applied as template)

A workaround could be to use a pdf file as input into this solution. (.md -> .pdf -> .note)

Since I assume you understand the .note format quite well, I was wondering if it would be possible for your current solution to (relatively) easily support this, very much open to suggestions or should I look elsewhere? (pysn?)

I don't feel the .note format gives any real advantage over PDF for this use case. Why not just use PDF? I don't understand.

The reason is that I would like to keep making use of the .note functionality (different tools + text recognition) and be able to use it to add new pages using other templates. Currently I can do this by exporting the obsidian information to a pdf, move that pdf into the mystyle folder and then create a note from this pdf. However for my use-case this is a little cumbersome since I would need to repeat this process many times (intention is to have a note per comic book page, character definition, etc ...) and possibly requires me to keep the same structure in the mystyle and the supernote folders. (you might be right, maybe this is not something that makes sense to automate but I have not reached that conclusion just yet) Anyway, I think, I understand that it is not really easy to support using your implementation, is mainly looking at going the other direction and it does not really fit with this projects goals?

OK, understood. Yeah, the problem is the library for the note file is read only. I wouldn't be opposed to have someone modify it to generate note files but that is a big heavy lift with an annoying testing surface since the only way to test is to run it on a Supernote device.
