Teaching Statement

1. Teaching Interests:

My teaching philosophy and interests are deeply rooted in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, and Transportation Operations. I am passionate about imparting knowledge in both foundational and specialized courses. At the undergraduate level, I enjoy teaching Supply Chain Management and Introduction to Statistics for Business, providing students with the essential tools for business success. For more advanced students, I am excited about teaching Logistics Systems Analysis and Design, where students learn to design efficient supply chain networks. In the MBA program, I am eager to teach Quantitative Methods for Business, equipping students with the analytical skills needed for data-driven decision-making. Additionally, I am interested in exploring emerging areas like Big Data Technologies, including machine learning and text analysis, to prepare students for the future of business.

2. Teaching Philosophy:

I believe in making complex concepts accessible and applicable to real-world scenarios. My goal is to foster critical thinking, encourage interactive learning, and promote teamwork. I integrate practical case studies, simulations, and group projects into my courses to enhance student engagement and understanding. I am also committed to creating an inclusive learning environment that values diversity and supports all students.

3, Plan for Creating an Inclusive Environment:

I strive to create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment that values diversity and fosters a sense of belonging. I use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and provide opportunities for students to share their perspectives. I also actively engage in student advising, providing guidance and support to help students succeed. By creating an inclusive environment, I aim to empower students from all backgrounds to reach their full potential.
