Panel does not appear on Chromium browser #26
Comments
I've noticed that the initial post had no mention of Chrome, and mostly Firefox.
Works correctly. @mauigirl You have no errors at all in the extension error page? |
Apologies and correction - yes @LaurentDumont I am now getting extension errors on Chrome, it took awhile to show up. Re: Firefox, the extension worked for me yesterday but checked now and it's no longer working either. Also noticed the page layout for my youtube has changed a bit - the description box and comments area look/scroll differently so Youtube must have rolled out a new layout for some of us. ![]() |
@RenegadeScooter @LaurentDumont @mauigirl Hi, could you test if the PR works for you? It works for me (my YouTube also got the breaking update), but I need more confirmation before merging. If you don't know how to load it with Git, I have the PR version packed here: Chromium Firefox The Trusted Type header isn't supported in Firefox yet, so I'm not sure if the PR works for Firefox. There might be other reasons causing Firefox to not load the extension panel. |

@pc035860 it works - thank you! |
@pc035860 You got it working now, thank you! |
I am now using Brave

Version 1.68.137 Chromium: 127.0.6533.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)
because YouTube decided to refuse to stream videos specifically when I am logged in to my main channel on LibreWolf (Firefox fork).I have enabled YCS-cont and allowed it to read and change data on youtube.com:
The panel simply fails to appear, making the addon unusable:

I have tried clearing the cache and reloading and reinstalling the addon and nothing changed.
Although, I have noticed that the original YCS (which previously only failed to retrieve comments) also fails to display the panel on Brave.
However, this issue does not happen on LibreWolf:

What's going on?
