Please, add support to EXT4 if you have spare time to do it :-)

I formatted two Flash Drives as EXT3, but one is recognized as EXT2 partition and another as EXT3 partition on my GL-iNet MT-6000 Router on his native Network Storage feature

512Gb SanDisk Ultra Luxe Flash Drive

Recognized as EXT2:

Wed Dec 25 10:27:57 2024 kern.notice kernel: [164845.898223] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI removable disk
Wed Dec 25 10:27:57 2024 daemon.info samba4-server: io_uring module found, enabling VFS io_uring. (also needs Kernel 5.4+ Support)
Wed Dec 25 10:27:58 2024 kern.info kernel: [164847.175317] EXT4-fs (sda1): **mounting ext2 file system using the ext4 subsystem**
Wed Dec 25 10:27:58 2024 kern.info kernel: [164847.376313] EXT4-fs (sda1): mounted filesystem 206535e8-f529-1b4b-98ed-f9ec87587f8a r/w with ordered data mode. Quota mode: disabled.

128GB SandDsk Ultra Flair Flash Drive

Recognized as EXT3:

Please provide the full log of how you created the drives.

You can access the log by clicking the small logbook icon in Rufus (left of START) or by pressing Ctrl-L

At this stage, I have no plan to add ext4 support, since the ext formatting is aimed at persistence and using ext4 is an overkill for that. Or you can indicate what feature of ext4, that you don't see in ext3, is something that you see as necessary for you.

I am curious however as to why your first drive is only recognized at ext2, which is why I would very much like to see the complete log of how you created the drive.
