This should mimic the "Frequency Dependent Reduction" from the Amplified Instrument Processer: https://korneffaudio.com/product/amplified-instrument-processor/

They describe it as:

The AIP has yet another compressor on it; this one designed to work on selected ranges of frequencies from 20Hz to 20kHz. Clean up the bottom end of chugging guitars, tame resonant bass notes, knock out chestiness on vocals, take the ring out of a kick drum, de-ess vocals or nip the pain out of a hihat.

The parameters are:

Frequency
Attack
Release
Threshold
Bandwidth (which operates like a Q going between narrow and wide)
Gain (this is like a makeup gain for the selected Frequency range)
On/Off

If you're looking for things to research to create this, I imagine looking into Multiband Compression will lead you down the right path. This is essentially just 1 band of a multiband compressor.
