PapersGPT 0.0.9 stopped working after 1st use

Hi, I could use PapersGPT 0.0.9 only once for analyzing a PDF with Deepseek. After this, it has stopped working. Deleting and reinstalling the plugin did not help (Zotero 7.0.11 (64 bit), Windows 11). When I press its symbol, nothing happens.

The updated papersgpt v0.0.9 works again. The mouse is still going crazy, making it difficult to move the answer window. I stumbled over another problem. I have an attached PDF that no longer can be analyzed. Gemini and Deepseek tell me the same. Gemini: Okay, I will analyze the provided context and create a summary. **Summary of the Research Paper (Based on the Provided Context)** The context provided indicates that the same PDF document from the *Operative Dentistry* journal was downloaded multiple times [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]. The link reveals that this document is available on the Allen Press platform. The information is insufficient to summarize the contents of the research paper, as the link is a general download link and doesn't directly give the content. Somehow both AIs miss the opened PDF (which I have attached to the email). If I upload the PDF manually to Deepseek, it still can be analyzed. (Upload of file with email did not work here on Github.) I quite sure that this worked a few days ago, but not now. It seems to depend on the PDF. This PDF was a paper extracted from a whole issue by "pdf24 Creator".

I`m quite sure now, that the AIs don`t see any opened PDF at the moment but generate an answer only based on the abstract or title of the entry.

I was able to get papersGPT to pop up once but then when I pressed the cog a large dark rectangle appeared and then PGPT does not appear neither when I press CTRL Enter nor the circular triangle icon in the PDF viewer. The large dark rectangle seems to related to the fact that my Screen and Zotero is in portrait mode (tall and thin). Here is a video showing my inability to start up PapersGPT

I uninstallwd and reinstall PGPT it came back. And it works with my Open AI API key. Thank you!

I can't shut it down. Neither by clicking on Ctrl Enter nor by clicking on the icon. I think it should have a simple close "X" in the top right.

Also when I move my mouse over the window sometimes that moves PGTP window without clicking to drag, even when I click it I can't drag it, and and I cant drag it to my other adjacent screen. I tend to lose the window off one side.

Sometimes I can control the window and sometimes not.

0. Prior to the start of this video, I had to uninstall and reinstall to make PapersGPT appear. It seems to work once, and then require reinstallation. Fortunately it remembers my API and my subscription information after reinstallation.
1. It follows my cursor / is dragged without clicking
2. The cog to subscribe is not displayed
3. Clicking the cog displays a tall thin rectangle which might ordinarily cover the input window but it is taller than the input window (probably due to my display being in portrait mode)
4. It can be impossible to enter an email address in the top field because the instructions overlap the email field again (probably due to my display being in portrait mode)
5. The red button to the right of the input field is not displayed
6. I cannot resize the PapersGPT window which is small (probably due to my display being in portrait mode)

Thanks for feedback. So which version do you use? We will solve the problem of windows control, you know, as the development under Zotero is not so easy as the chrome extension.

1 - We are trying to solve the issue, thanks for your recorded video.
2, 5 - Which OS and version of Zotero do you use? The situation never happens when tested on Mac.
3, 4, 6 - When moving the main window of papersgpt, it may happen, we are going to solve it, thanks.
**7 - Double clicking the answer clipboard would copy the response from papersgpt. Is it necessary to add the feature of automatically adding the response to a note of the current paper?
7 - Pressing 'esc' key would exit the plugin. But it definitely will be more convenient as you said, we will add this in the later version.
8 - The current shortcut keys don't work on your computer, right? And what is the OS of your computer?

Thank you for the Esc key. That works.

Today the red button shows the send icon and the cog is shown too.
The dragging problem is still there.

Regarding 8, I just meant that Ctrl Entre does not shut down papersGPT (but now I know about Esc)

Sometimes papersGPT does not start using the shortcutkey and the icon until I reinstall it.

7. It is not all that important because I can create a note myself. But then I can also use Claude to summarize papers. It would be nice to have a button for the future that puts the content in a note for me.

And for the future,
7a) Some sort of setting so that I only need to click once to have a summaries added to papers.
7b) The ability to select a collection and have PapersGPT summarize and put the summary in notes for all the papers in the collection!
7c) The ability to select a collection and click "summarise and combine."

I have just found out about SciSpace nd that gives a brief summary as soon as papers are uploaded I think.

The "X" to close the window is nice. The icon and Escape now do not close the window -- I think I would have kept all methods of closure.

However, I am told that my API key is invalid despite the fact that the new version seems to be using the same Key as before which worked in the last version. My API key begins sk-proj- and ends gQ0A as in the error message below.

Yes, papersgpt always remembers the latest key you have configured unless you install a new version of Zotero.
So is your API KEY(sk-proj-******gQ0A) normal? And it just can not be used in the new version v0.0.10.
Escape should still close the window, and icon for starting papersgpt, if it is started up, the plugin window will be focused when pressing the icon.

My API key in the old version papersgpt-v0.0.9.xpi (which I have to remove and reinstall after each use) does not result in an "invalid api key" error and successfully summarised a paper.

But on this computer, Windows 10 computer, with Zotero 7.0.11 (64 bit) the new version papersgpt-v0.0.10.xpi started up once (but not fully, only the outline of the window, not the input fields were shown) and now refuses to start up at all (icon and Ctrl+Enter result in nothing).
