Split markdown and editor

Hello

You've got a pretty cool editor. The only point is linking with markdown. I've tried to add my custom tag and found that it's tightly coupled with parsing / generating markdown and it's pretty hard to extend. What's the point?
After researching I've managed to switch to JSON model. But still - the markdown part looks like a candidate to be separated to own plugin
