Newlines / linebreaks in a node description tag

Hi, I'm pretty sure that I was able to build a custom OBF file with OsmAndMapCreator with multiline text descriptions some years ago.

Now I can't. I can convert an OSM file to a OBF file but OsmAnd print the multi-line description as a one-line string. The problem is: I changed my Android version, my Osmand version, my OsmAndMapCreator version and my script to generate the .osm file... So I don't know where to look for a fix. I have manualy edited my .osm file, trying to put 
 and 
 in <tag k="description" v="..."> but it doesn't work. I tried to put real newlines but it's the same.

Any ideas?
