Overlay independant map magnifier for higher resolution aerial tiles.

I like setting the map magnifier to 50% to make the google or Microsoft aerial overlay look higher resolution on my phone. The default 100% scaling looks fairly low quality compared to overlay in google maps or online renderers. Trouble is I prefer 100% for the vector map below. otherwise its just too busy and rendering is too slow. Anyone know how to set independent density/map magnifier for the overlay map? I have pulled the code and tried playing with density variables where I can find them but I'm not an android dev so don't really know my way around the codebase. If someone knows where to look in to code or what to change I can make the change and build it myself.

I've added a screenshot of google maps aerial overlay. First is 100% map magnifier, second is 50% map magnifier. The quality is much better at 50% map magnifier. But for most purposes except the overlay I want to keep it at 100% map magnifier. Anyone familiar with the code know what number I can mess with?
