Variable Returns NONE when used within Closure

I'm new to SurrealDB and I'm facing this issue.

My variables are as follows:

{
  coreId: core:5690qig6pm9bgvggsx8w
}

When I execute the query $coreId, it returns the ID.

But when I execute the below query, I get the result [NONE]

['foo'].map(|$i| $coreId);

Is there something wrong with how I use my closure or am I missing something?

I would really appreciate some help regarding this.

I using Surrealist to execute my queries if that helps.

@dbaudisch For some reason, ->member.find(|$m| $m.core == $coreId).role as role in the below query works. Not sure how

          ->member
            .find(|$m| 
              $m.core == $coreId
            ).role as role

We are looking into this and you can track the progress via #5462.

It could be possible that $m.code is NONE as well which would explain why it works in this case, not sure tho 🤔
