Here in the US, NOAA makes heavy use of ERDDAP for this purpose. ERDDAP is FOSS and an instance can be easily be set up using the docker image. It may be worth providing a comparison to ERDDAP and other similar technologies in the project README. |

Title
A database for real-time data for Brazil and South Atlantic
Summary
South Atlantic does not have a free and easily accessible database of data collected in real-time. The intention of this project is to obtain data from different data sources (universities, governments, public and private institutions) and bring them together in a single database for the scientific community and society in general. The idea of this project is to expand an existing database, using data from different data sources. With these data, it is possible to carry out a validation of the meteorological and wave models available for the South Atlantic.

The problem
Throughout the South Atlantic, we do not have well-consolidated databases to obtain real-time data collected by the different data collection programs. The aim is to establish this system and create a system that can be used by the entire international community. In addition, allow the validation of global models for the South Atlantic.
