Favouriting problem

Basically, going through a playlist of all my tracks, favouriting the ones I like, but the favourites aren't sticking.

That could be just a front end issue. To tell either refresh the browser or click on the track name in the now playing view and that will take you to the track view. In either case see if the heart is solid.

It's not consistent. Eg. In the playlist view I can favourite a track. Go to the track information and it is not favourited. Refresh and it then shows as favourited. Then I un-favourite it, and switch back to the playlist view... it is still showing as favourited. but... then I refresh the browser (Vivaldi) and go back to the playlist view and it still shows as favourited. I've now got the playlist view showing it favourited, the info view for the track showing unfavourited and no amount of refreshing the browser will change this even a shift+F5.

Using a different browser, (Firefox) the same situation is visible. Favourite on the playlist view, not favourited on the track info view.

From my testing it is a frontend bug in the Now Playing View. If a track is favourited in the track view it shows up in the All favourotes playlist but it is inconsistent whether it shows in the Now Playing View. I'll move this to an issue and it will get looked at in due course.

After review and discussion I can advise the following. The Now Playing view info (favourite status in this case) is only updated when the track starts playing. So the favourite icon works on the Now Playing View but if the favourite status is changed elsewhere then it may not reflect correctly on the view until the track in question becomes the current track again. This is a limitation of the events available for that view to monitor. Perhaps in the future this will be able to made more dynamic but for now this is the behaviour you should expect.

Thanks very much. I've been going into the track info for any track I want to favourite and changing it there... so I'll keep doing that going forward.
