I like to navigate OS entirely using keyboard, but there are some places in Cinnamon where it's not entirely possible. Specifically, I miss a possibility to navigate using Tab or Alt keyboard buttons.
Example 1: file manager:
Being on a file manager's directory list, I cannot move focus to the left bar (2) or or the top bar (3). In other desktop environments (GNOME?) or on Windows it is possible by using Tab key. On Cinnamon, as far as I can see, pressing Tab has no effect.
I also think that we can make use of Alt key. In web browsers (like in Firefox), pressing Alt key automatically focuses on a manu bar (4) which then makes it possible to browse available options in this menu by using arrows.
Also, in some apps (here: MsOffice example), pressing Alt key shows some keyboard shortcut tips:
making this feature would make navigation much easier and the user would not have to learn the shortcuts by heart.
Example 2: system settings:
Entering subpage of system settings automatically focuses on top bar (1) which is great, but at the same time it's not possible to move focus to individual options (2). Pressing tab does nothing. Wouldn't it be nice if I could press Tab and then be able to navigate using arrow keys on each option?
