I've just discovered the 'Roadmap' sections on Github and lo & behold, this showed up - from Nov 9, 2020: Sums of split transactions on reconcilliation screen So I'll add my comment here as gentle 'bump' :) |

I have just processed the first few months of account reconciliations, since moving from YNAB to Firefly-iii.
Viewing split transactions is a joy to behold in the Accounts/Transactions view.
The sub-group of transactions in the split are clearly defined with horizontal separator lines, and most importantly, the top line shows the 'Description of the split transaction' and the total for transaction.
However when the same 'transaction' is displayed in a Reconciliation list, things are quite different.
The bank statement shows a single line for the transaction, but FF lists all the individual account entries.
Sure, there is a 'share' symbol in FF at the start of each entry to signify that the line is part of a split transaction.
But there there is no 'total' figure to correlate with the bank statement entry.
Since the code 'exists' in FF to display split transactions in full detail on the Accounts/Transactions view, it would be so helpful to use the same methodology in the Reconciliation list.
I am not a programmer but I figure the logic may follow this approach for an improved Reconciliation list:
This way, the User can focus on the single line item on the bank statement and match it to the 'total' line in FF, while still appreciating the detail provided by the individual split transaction entries recorded previously by the User.
