  • adds support for dataflows split across multiple machines
  • events are passed through TCP (zenoh support is planned)
  • dataflow start is synchronized across machines

    • YAML format: How to specify node to machine mapping? How to configure communication layer (TCP, shared memory, zenoh, etc)?
    • Deployment: How to deploy nodes/operators from the CLI machine to the target machines?
  • decision: merge as an unstable feature

    • all newly introduced YAML keys will be prefixed with _unstable for now
