I have suggestion regarding disabling 'debug' build option in the workflow editor for application that builds for iOS when you enable distribution through App Store

Use case

The reason is that I have been stuck with this issue for weeks, and just to find out when the build with the option Debug in the build section of the workflow editor, for some reason caused the distribution to TestFlight not be able to run even though all the certificates and profiles are all properly managed. After I installed it via TestFlight, the app crashed. I can confirm that my source code and profile are managed properly because I used to run it without the pipeline using Xcode from my Mac and deploy to TestFlight from my mac

Idea

I just tried with the release version option enabled in the workflow editor and it works fine, I think this issue wasn't raised, I couldn't search in any forum. I think the best is that you would disable it when the build is being distributed to TestFlight or any other distribution platform for iOS

Thanks for the feedback! This is a good suggestion and actually we are working on a bigger improvement to the onboarding flow which aims on helping the users to avoid these kinds of issues in the future. Indeed it’s an App Store requirement that builds need to be build in release mode when being published to TestFlight or App Store.
