About BlockseBlock

BlockseBlock is a platform focused on expanding the developer ecosystem for different tech stacks through initiatives such as hackathons, hacker houses, founder houses, and more. Leveraging our in-house hosting platform, we have built a community of 100k+ developers and partnered with over 600 universities, including premier institutions like IITs, NITs, and IIITs.

Our Past Work:

• ICP Developer Ecosystem: We significantly contributed to making ICP the 3rd largest developer ecosystem for new blockchain developers, as reported by the Electric Capital Developer Report. For 15 months, we organized ICP hackathons in India and SE Asia, building a robust developer ecosystem for the ICP blockchain.

• Near: As the official partner for Near in India, we delivered the highest registrations and projects for the Redacted hackathon.

Proposed Plan of Action for Akash

Objective:

To conduct three developer workshops in India, introducing developers to Akash Network and guiding them to build applications using decentralized cloud computing.

Workshop Agenda (Tentative):

Total Duration: 6 Hours

1. Introduction to Akash Network:

   • Overview of Akash Network:
     • Decentralized cloud infrastructure and its benefits.
     • How Akash leverages underutilized resources to provide affordable and scalable cloud computing.
   • Key Features:
     • Permissionless and decentralized marketplace.
     • Secure, efficient, and cost-effective cloud deployments.
   • Use Cases:
     • Hosting dApps, blockchain nodes, machine learning models, and more.

2. Getting Started with Akash:

   • Introduction to Akash CLI and Deployment Workflow:
     • Setting up the development environment.
     • Understanding SDL (Service Definition Language) files.
     • Deploying applications to the Akash Network.
   • Akash Token (AKT):
     • Using AKT for payments and staking.

3. Hands-on Session: Building and Deploying Applications:

   • Creating SDL Files:
     • Writing and configuring SDL files for various use cases.
   • Deploying Applications:
     • Step-by-step deployment of a decentralized application on Akash.
     • Monitoring and scaling deployments.
   • Integrating Akash APIs:
     • Using APIs to interact with the network.

4. Interactive Q&A and Project Ideas:

   • Addressing developer challenges.
   • Exploring innovative applications such as hosting dApps, decentralized web servers, and AI workloads.
   • Sharing recorded demos, guides, and fostering developer communities.

• Offline workshops to maximize engagement and hands-on learning.
• Participants will bring laptops for live coding sessions.

• Sample SDL files and recorded demos for reference.

Future Plan:

These workshops will establish a strong foundation for future hackathons. Developers trained during these sessions will be well-equipped to build high-quality projects on Akash, ensuring greater participation and innovative solutions in upcoming hackathons.

Budget

We are requesting $9,000 for organizing the three developer workshops.
