As we might work on more structural parts of the package, i would like to collect which parts of the code we dislike or hinder new features.

My biggest gripes are my own choices of designing the solver, which makes it really inflexible to work with special types of layers, as the solver only uses the dielectric tensors right now.

I am not sure how to best change to another model. Either we have to embed calculation code in the layer classes again, which would make those way more complicated. So the Solver needs knowledge which types of layers are in the structure and how to handle them. But that is not great either... 🤷
