same problem with Microsoft® Excel® dla Microsoft 365 MSO (16.0.14326.20936) (64-bit)

BUT :) after small research.. when you press CRTL-SHIFT-L .. it works fine.. as expected :)
after "editing" fields you should press one again CRTL_SHIFT-L for quitting "headers" editing mode.

so issue can be closed.
